MONEY TALKS – Empowering Year 12 Through Financial Wellbeing
Bloom for Schools is a UK-wide initiative designed to equip young people with the tools and knowledge they need to build resilience and safeguard their mental health through life’s transitions. At St Mary’s, the programme is embedded within the Key Stage 4 preventative curriculum, with key themes explored in Personal Development lessons.
The ‘Money and Me’ workshop focused on the powerful connection between money and mental health. Pupils explored how attitudes toward money can shape thoughts and behaviours, and were introduced to practical strategies for managing financial stress. The session aimed to empower students with a suite of resilience-building tools they can use both now and in the future.
A special thank you to Nadean Lowe, the workshop facilitator, for delivering such an engaging and insightful session!
